We care about our planet
The Hotel Stella d’Italia a Marsala adheres to the Stay for the Planet di Best Western project. Through this it was possible to map the hotel’s consumption and various behaviors according to certain areas of environmental behavior: Energy, Water, Waste and Behaviors.
In our facility, we strive to contain consumption by limiting environmental impact through sustainable hotel management, following small steps:
- we carry out separate waste collectionand invite our Guests to contribute by providing THEM with the appropriate containers in the rooms;
- we use flow reducers to avoid wasting water;utilizziamo i riduttori di flusso per non sprecare l’acqua;
- We heat domestic water with methane gas-fired boilers with ultra-high efficiency condensing technology and cascade-controlled modular ignitions;
- We use only low-consumption lede lamps.
We purchase green energy for a large part of our energy needs, so as to contribute:
- To the decrease in pollution;
- to the development of renewable energy in Italy and Europe;
- to the reduction of greenhouse gases.
In addition, a photovoltaic panel system will soon be installed at the facility, so as to further increase the almost exclusive use of green energy.
A certified commitment
Hotel Stella d’Italia is honored to announce that it has been awarded the Green Key certification, a prestigious award conferred by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), which testifies to our commitment to more sustainable hospitality.
Achieving Green Key certification is the result of a journey of continuous improvement aimed at meeting strict standards in the areas of environmental management, energy efficiency, waste management, responsible use of water resources, nature conservation and promotion of sustainable practices.
We are proud to be part of this movement, believing that together with our guests and employees, we can actively contribute to the preservation of our precious land.
